please help newbie

    hi every bnody! im new to this site and i was wondering if theres any info on this site or any other ova lexus v8 or 7m swap done 2 a 91 2wd 4runner that had a 22re in it? the info i keep finding is mostly done to 4x4 trucks that either had the 22r or 3vze in it any info would be great. by the way great site!!!:waytogo:

    the only sites i can think of are the 4x4 sites too. i did go to http://forums.celicasupra.com/ when i was looking for info on how to wire my lexus 2jz.

    The info is pretty much the same for 4wd and 2wd. It is going to take custom mounts, and wiring. And some other custom parts and pieces. Same for any swap where the engine was not offered as a factory option.

    the only difference for the 4wd trucks will be the steering being in a different location/arrangment. but most ive seen make note of this oil pan vs that and yada. so, figure out where you need the sump of the pan, and you should be okay.

    i do know that 7m blocks will pretty much fall in with 5M supra mounts and electric fans in front of the radiator. mostly the issues are clearing the brake booster (80-83ish is alot smaller), routing an upper radiator hose in the shorter distance (difficulty depends on which radiator you have, the v6 one might have the ports in better spots) and wiring them in. as for the lexus V8s and the JZ motors, they arent as simple.

    thnx for the welcome and info guys and the links. so i understand that burnzya ur from AZ what part? i also see some of your threads and that is a killer truck! wish i knew how to weld like that! and you picked your 2jz engine up in chandler @ the pick n pull u think theyll hav any more out there?

    so how many members are from AZ? it feel good to know there are some toy lovers in here! i was lookin around today and seen the thread on burnzya and his 2jz man that thing is flippn sweet hes got some bad skillz.

    there's like 4 or 5 of us that i know of.

    i was at the yard yesterday grabbing my1uz, there wasn't any 2jz's there. i did find 2 7m-ge's. one in a supra, and one in a cressida...

    thats kool to know there are a lil bit of toy lovers on this site and in AZ! i had a 93 p/u 22re 2wd dat had jus a bout 280,xxx miles on it and it finally gave bu one of my friends is sellin a 93 4runner 2wd 3vze for like 500 bucks its kinda beat bu the bodys straight im seriously thnkn o da 7mge or 5vze swap i jus kinda need to find more n more info on the swaps and which one would be the fastest and easiest also the pNp only has cars hu? n wa would work wit the trans thats in the 93 3vze 4 runner........headaches.......headaches!
