Pinion nut has play?

    Hey guys i did a rear trans seal today and notice my pinion nut was loose it had play back and fourth the pinion shaft didnt have much gap in I was just wondering if the nut is suppose to have play lmk thanks

    No, it should be tight and punched into the groove running through the threads parallel to the length of the pinion.

    Alright ill get on that asap....fukn basterds that did this rear....btw what size is the bolt?

    Hmm. Can't remember off hand. Either a 19, 21, or a 24. I should know this, I've built enough of them over the years.
