Went to a Pick N Pull barely three miles from the house this morning to pull a W58 tranny, and came across an 88' Supra (180k) that had arrived six days ago, with PERFECT front seats. Not a single tear, loose seam, or cigarette burn. Just a bit dusty. :)

Although I am fond of the bench seat some of these trucks come with, they, like the two stock seats my 77' SR5 came with, are not all that comfortable for long drives.

In this kind of condition (typically find them beat up) they were tough to pass up, especially at $35 a pop!!!

With regular drives from San Francisco to Los Angeles, for school and visiting relatives, comfy seats are a MUST! :)

Thanks, guys. Thrilled to have found them, believe me.

Actually, it is some sort of velour.

I normally find Supra seats in leather or vinyl, and tattered beyond all recognition. Or if in clothe, there's a lot of plastic trim (early 80's Celica / Supra) that's either cracked or missing.

    This set was ALL clothe/velour.

Make sure you take plenty of pictures after you get them mounted in! I need to start digging around the yards for a set of buckets for my '78.

Also look for 3000 GT seats or Dodge Stealth, same car. Nice comfy seats. Mounting is a snap.
