I'm really wanting to do a "matte black" or a flat black with a flat clear. I dont know much about the paint, So I would like some info on all this. I want a dull hot-rod look! Thanks all. I'M OFF TO DRINK GREEN BEER!
Black base coat with a FLAT clear when mixing the base use only black toner and then spray the flat clear on top. If you just go with a factory black paint code when spraying a flat clear on top it would change the appearance of the color. Also if it were my truck and i was looking for that "hot rod" look a nice set of red steelies with some whitewalls and some red pin striping on the gate and hood
Look into Wanda brand paint products. They are still non water-born products (in Colorado at least) If I were you I would do a black base coat, with a matte clear coat.
