I first got my hands on the yota when I turned 16. Been hooked in the Mini Truck scene sense then.. I havent always had the time, money and a place to work until now, 7 years later. Being busy in high school, then heading off to college, that has really limited my time to work. Before I had to wait till I drove it home (3 Hours away) to work on it... I now have a garage rented, so working on things has become easier. I also have all my yota stuff with me here, and not 3 hours away. When I first got the truck it had the tacky tribal design along the side of the truck. That was the first to go. Then of course I went through a few sets of subwoofers, being a kid I thought that was where it was at. So Dumb.. anyways Ive recently started working on things that I feel will be more of a permanent job. I have also gone through a couple sets of wheels and have had a set of 18's on it until I find some spare cash to buy the set I really want Anyways, here is my work over the past years... I will be posting pics randomly until I get to where it is now Sorry for some of the pictures being small at first. they get better
Here it was it looked like before all the newest mods have been done. New black carpet was installed as you see in the interior shot
Got my hands on a set of bucket seats a few years ago... I think they came from a honda civic. Not sure. Ill eventually get a pic of the buckets installed. Dont have a pic of that.
The 60/40 seats have been installed in my single cab yota. and the bucket seats are now in my project truck
A picture of the old front end, and then a picture of the upper 4runner grill with the addition of a new fiberglass hood
Eventually I was able to install 4x4 fenders. I wanted the additional room, and i thought it looked better because it matches the rear flare. I plan on cutting the inner fenders out one day. Probably soon.
During this time I had taken the bed off. I ordered some tail light shavers.. Also started cutting on the bed a little and sanding some. I had euro tails on for a while. but have done a way with them and started shaving the tails. I still have the same set of wheels on though.
All of those photos are of work done in the past. I have put the drop spindles on since then and painted the lower valence. It looks much better, painted all primer white (except the the upper half of the cab) and I have installed AVS tails, I need to finish/adjust and re weld them bc they didnt turn out how I wanted them
I know it bro... I got to get some new pics up. All of these are small and out of date. I cant figure out how to get the pics larger.. anyways, hopefully I can get some work done tom on my truck
Found some more recent pics... well of the last 2 years of working on it. lol I dont have that particular roll pan anymore.... i didnt like how the tail lights would of been... thats why i purchased the avs lights. Ignore my welding.. I Suck at it. The truck sits about that same height currently though.
FOR SALE...... Close to being almost back together. Need to figure out why it wont start.. This was a parts truck but I figured I would sell it. Single Cab, 5 speed. Needs some lovin' lol
Dont exactly have the funds to bag it for now, so im doing little things like cleaning in the engine bay, working on a subwoofer box with a little fiberglass to come. painted a few pieces under the hood as well. Im trying to get my hands on a decent welder so i can do some body work. Thinking about going to my local tractor supply and picking up a Jobsmart welder. A buddy of mine has one and his does just fine.
Here is a few pics a took not to long ago.. Newest project for my door panels. Hopefully ill finish those soon. I gotta get me a circle jig so the circles are perfect. Also took a pic of the engine bay. I wish I had a pic before i started cleaning things up because it was a mess before i started. Im slowly working on the box as well, need to do a few minor things and then ill start to fiberglass. Also had a solid back glass installed about a year ago. I love it, makes the truck look completely different. I did like the sliding back glass, but I like the way this one looks
The rear isnt finished, and the lights were just tacked in. I need to cut the template back out and weld them back in. It was one of my first experiences with a welder. I have a grant kustoms smooth roll pan thats just waiting to be welded on as well..... but of course, I cant due to the fact that I dont have a welder. LOL But Ill try and snag a pic of the rear tom, and then take one at night. The AVS LED tails are pretty sweet at night
Here are a few pics of the rear end, minus my roll pan. I need to sand and prime the corners up where the roll pan sits before they rust out. Also pic of the tail lights. On and off.. its much more bright when you mash the brake pedal.
