ok so im trying to fix things little by little. and i see the my engine has about 4 of these things running withing the vaccum lines. but wat are they and wat do they do? all four are broken. and if theyre something somewhat critical id like to replace them if theyre cheap The black and orange thing The round black thing in the middle And 2nd. i needa fab up an intake for the meanwhile before i get a quality one. but i need to kno wat all this stuff is. i removed one of the chambers connected to the intake which seemed to me like a resonator. and it had hoses running to and from it. Just wana kno if i can just block off some of the parts where the hoses ran to and from. or if the hoses HAVE to be there
Ok the first one is like a one way check valve. so it flows air only one way through the hose its connected to. The last picture is a emissions junk. Pretty much a terd catcher. just an empty plastic container.
yea i had a feeling they were check valves. And those crap catchers on the intake, can i just remove them and block off where the hoses connect to the block? or are they actually needed?
well im in cali so engine mods are a pain the a**. but wat are they for? wat do they do? and im referring to the hoses on the intake
