you have no idea how bad i want to start in on this truck.

but i have a 77 fj40 side job i gotta finish, install the new suspension n motor in my celica before autox season is over, 5 lug swap n new custom radiator in the wagon, with a possible full retard bag ugrade, then there is some stupid crazy $hit im doing to my wheeler involving 20% of a datsun king cab and a 2in body drop w/ a exo, yes i said wheeler.

so ya, stout is some winter $hit, drool at the photoshop like i do until then. its gonna be a project where nothing is halfed assed, so im not rushing and gonna throw money at it like its a stripper.

since you extended the bed in front of the wheels to be the same level with the cab you should do the same to the bed after the wheel and make it lay corner to corner...photochop it to see how it looks but it could look pretty good

photoshop my good man. and yes i could get all stupid with it but i more want it low then anything. this was just a quick one to get my loins movin

i agree that "those wheels" are ugly as hell. but they are close to what i want. i want a brushed non clear coated fatty 5 spoke 20in+ wheel. very simple but with a lip to it. those are a lil too "busy" for me, lookin for something that looks like raw cast aluminum.

actually you got that wrong, i didnt touch the bed. i did the photoshop like im going to do the real truck. i trimmed the cab down and stretched the fender sail panel to match up with the bed line. to get it to be like in the pic should be fairly easy with a sfbd, but to lay out the rear bumper would be alot more work for that extra couple inches. since this will be my first "good" body drop, im going to keep it simple, maybe the next truck will hit ground all the way around.

Anyways. It is a pretty sweet little stout. Front suspension looked a little goofy. Like the hilux's grandpa or something. We gots to get schemin' on how to get that one sittin low above those keystones. And maybe yellow the center headlights. or eyebrows. But I'd totally rock it that look. You know me. I hate painting stuff

I am using the stock frame for the stout and the only real problem is the stupid drum brakes that are insanely expensive and the BIG A$$ crossmember.. mine is as low as the front will get and im gonna have to body drop it 4 or 5 inches.. sfbd woulda been awesome if i had put more thot into it.. or swapping to a completely diff frame.. but ohwell, im gonna cut the seat out completely and rock some bomber bucket seats so it should make up for the huge body drop.. (i hope)

if anyone gets bored and wants to photoshop my truck with a flat blue, i wouldnt mind :) im computer dumb to anything like that!

so you chopped into the door. Thats what im doing with mine, its very difficult...its the hard way to make these lay bed. Extending the bed down to be level with the rocker/door is much easier. Look how the door and the "rocker" are on these trucks, to get it down that low you are going to need to do a SFBD and a conventional...
