On my 84, i had my alternator die last night, so in a panic today, i did some quick research, and found that my trucks original alternator is 40 amps. but on a celica in 84, it came with a 60 amp, that was internally regulated. It bolted up, it didnt plug in, only because your ditching the external regulator, but it hs all the wires i needed, and i know 60 amps isn;t much, but when you think your upping the power by %50, it has made quite a difference so far! just wanted anyone to know what to try and look into, and be aware of, i'm very pleased with the outcome!
