so i now have a 32/36 for my 78 pickup and i was just alittle confused on how the throttle linkage will be setup?? on my weber it looks like any other where it would have a cable go into the groove on it but the truck uses that metal arm for the stock carb. i was given a lce weber linkage kit but the instructions are not very clear..

I used the little metal piece off the stock carb and put it on the weber. Doesn't have the same grooves to match up but simply snugging up the nut keeps it from moving. I did have to play with the adjustment to get it right where it needs to be position wise, but after that no problems.

You can, but why would you want to?

here's how mine is setup with the metal arm attached to the Weber. At the end of the metal arm is a clip to keep it from coming free. I don't have a pic of the firewall, but I believe it's all stock linkage setup.

thank you for the picture. this actually helps alot and about the choke being on a switch well because i have a switch already in the cab that just needs to be hooked up to something and that im too lazy to find a keyed 12v lol. mainly because i dont know where to start looking

Keyed 12v isn't that hard to find. I wouldn't personally put it on the switch, use that for something else like lights or kill switch or other. I can try and see where the PO pulled power on my truck if you like.

Consider the key is the toggle switch and thats how you send power to the choke.
