Not sure how long I'm going to stay here but I just picked up a 89 pickup for $900. Has 215k but runs strong. Needs a tune up and a new master cylinder. I'm going to spend as little money as possible. Plans for now are to sell the camper shell. Throw in a cheap roll on bed liner to hide where it ruined the paint on the tail gate. Then remove the dumb graphics on the side. Add ac. Find some cheap mustang rims with tires to throw on. Lower it about an inch and maybe tint the windows. And depending where I'm at on how much is spent get a decent stereo and speakers. Hoping to keep the total cost under 1700 as in my area they seem to be selling for 2-3k. Here is a picture of the truck.

And for anybody that cares these are my other trucks.
    Currently a work in progress.

    And my $300 truck.

I'm not realy used to driving somthing so small. Even the ranchero felt bigger than the toyota.

So I took off a small portion of the stickers and it leaves a very clear outline of the graphics. If I buff them it takes it past the paint in a couple seconds. So I'm considering outlining the stickers and painting them black. Maybe see what it looks like with some plastidip first. But the stickers are so dried up and missing pieces I don't want to leave them there.

Steal is right on the price. Looks to be in great shape body wise. You could probably unload that camper top and you'd have even less in the truck. I'd say remove the stickers at all costs. I'm not currently in the position to get one of these but I'd be pretty hard pressed not to drop the cash for a $900 straight bodied white 89. With very little effort these trucks can look pretty nice.

    Any interior shots?

I'll get one in the morning. There are 3 cracks in the dash pad but other than that it is strangely clean. Almost like nobody has sat in it. I worked a little more on the stickers and found out my power buffing was pulling some blue off another sticker and putting it on the paint. (I'm trying to just do small sections so it won't look too bad). On the shell I personally hate camper shells. Except every truck I've purchased so far has came with one. But im actually going to take my time on selling this one before giving it away just to get it off my truck.

Got the passenger side mostly done. Still some residue that refuses to come off in the door and front fender.

Any body have a better way. I'm using a eat gun to pull the vinyl off then goo gone for the residue but I have to soak it for an hour then it will only scrape off. Then I have to buff it.

And other news, somebody decided to hit my mirror at 2am. 2nd day owning it and already had damage done.

And also my dad said if I could find the wireing harness for his old blaupunkt I could have it. So about 2 minuets worth of searching and I have a new stereo for the truck.
