Hello all, My name is Phillip but most guys call me phil.
I just picked up my first toyota pickup and im in love already, I am used to full sized trucks and cargo vans but this is a lot better lol...

I am 25 I work in the auto refinishing field. One day an old man wanted some work done on a horse trailer (not really my bag but money is money) although he didnt have the cash to fix it so we struck up a deal for this lil guy.

Body could be better but she runs like a top...my newer truck doesnt run this well lol...its ugly but has heart...that the reason I waited a year to really do anything to it, I wanted to put it through the paces to ensure it would break down in a week lol

So far I've done general maintenance type things as well as blocked and removed a leaf in the rear and turned my torsion bars.

I have literally been using her as a shop truck for the past year so thats the reason for the ratty seats lol

Plan on swapping seats an the front end as well as paint her....I also have a turbo motor for her but that may wait till after the summer .

 

i like the last couple pictures, looks rough but i like. looking forward to see the progress

 

Welcome from Knoxville!! Like the truck so far. Keep up the work on it. I'm working on dropping in a 7mgte into my 93 should get it done by the end of summer hopefully.

 

Thanks guys!...she needs help but its nothing I havent dealt with before...here in the next month or so it'll be all hands on deck lol... I hope to have her painted and have a fresh motor.

Also I have an ace up my sleeve that I dont wanna throw out just yet lol

Mainly the biggest thing im having a hard time with is the interior plastics...can't seem to find any.

 

Look forward to seeing this hidden ace you got for us. I bet some of the guys on here may have some spares or know where to pick them up for cheap. Get a build thread going once you get along into throwing some sweet mods and such into it

Thanks guys.....I will get a thread going....tomorrow is a huge track meet for our lil car club and it'll be the first time anyone's seen her since shes been lowered and ill post some pics of the other cars too.
