Just signed up, actually a Hilux just showed up locally and I'm looking around for information as to how much of a project it may be;

1974 Hilux with 120K km, auto, 18R-C, ran when parked 6 years ago;






My first vehicle was an 86 xtra cab;


and I currently drive a 2005 Tacoma DCLB;



I'm wondering about parts availability, both maintenance and body parts.. it looks like the bottom of the fenders have rusted out and the front bumper is gone. Otherwise it looks like a neat mini truck, might be just the project I'd like to take on. Price is about the same as the new BajaRack I'm eyeing for the Tacoma..

parts can be hard to come by, its a toss up honestly. When igot mine i needed parts and i stayed on craigslist til i found one being parted out
