Hey everybody, new to the site from Olympia. I've been in to the toyota thing since highschool. I started out with a 82 shortbox standard cab. I did paint and body, lowered, weber, cam, header, 5 spd swap and full exhaust. I drove it for about 6 years everyday and for a reason I'm still not sure of, decided to sell it. I recently bought a 1990 shortbox standard cab. It was lowered when I got it but needs to be lower. Current plans are to upgrade the suspension and find a 5 speed trans for it, which seem hard to come by here in the Oly area. Bigger plans down the road but we'll see.
That truck most definately came from somebody from Guam.It has the tell tail signs like the Prostars, flat back glass, mud flaps, dark tint and of coarse the Fokai sticker in the back.Nice truck here's my 92
Welcome to TM!!! I've had my '82 SR5 since it was brand new (Nov, 1981) and it is still a lot of fun to drive to this day. My HS friends are amazed that I still have it & I'll drive to our Alumni events. I have family in King County, so I'm really familiar with that area as well as Pierce County. Rick
I have kind of kicked myself ever since I sold the 82. The kid that bought it has trashed it. I wish I would have sold it to somebody somewhere far away so I didn't have to see it. The 90 did. I bought it from a couple in Kent, WA. I think they were moving back to Guam and were selling everything before they left.
