Basically what the title says. Not necessarily year specific discussions, but a place where we can talk about setups and what's needed for our trucks to better handle a little sideways action.

Sorry if there's already a category for it and I missed it.

Sorry, probably not going to happen. I've talked to the site owner about an airbag section and the decision was made that all of these subjects fall under Off Topic.

Feel free to start a Drift Truck thread though.

New suggestion; Take down the "Site Suggestions" part of the forum.

Really though, if air bags and racing fall under off topic even though it relates directly to our Toyotas, then what is this forum for?

Start a drifting forum and you will have 2 maybe 3 active users. Same with racing. Air bags is a different story though. There are probably more than half of the members here thinking about or probably wanting to air their ride in the future.

On a side note. I think we have way too many different break downs as is. Half of the topics in each year fall into the same category. For example, 84-88 and 89-96 Toyota's have basically the same suspension and interior yet they have separate forums.

If you only visit your model year section (84-88), you are going to miss the custom sub box someone built for their 93 model or the cool Lexus wheels someone fitted on their 91 ...and vice versa.

Ok, I think 100% air bag section should be added. As for drifting, I should have put it like Nashman did, race trucks page.

I think the info on this site is great, but I'm sure that there are those here that drag, gymkhana, drift, whatever it may be and it'd be nice to have a place to consolidate all the info and threads on it.

Well, I'll talk to Jeff about it again and see...

    They aren't bad ideas.

Don't expect too much before the New Year though.

I think "Off Topic" is self explanatory and anything related to "toyota trucks" shouldn't have to be diverted there.... Or even be in there for that matter.

I like the idea of having a "General Toyota Truck Discussion" section that could capture broad questions that apply to many different years... Maybe broken down into subsections (like the model years are currently), to help organize it a bit?

I find myself just checking the forum landing page for new posts, cus i'm too lazy to go through all the years and subsections to see what everyone is up to.... I thought we got rid of segregation?

Can't we all just join hands and enjoy each others truck porn, without generation discrimination?

I love every generation of Toyota truck!!

Oh yeah, with everyone converging on this section, posts would get more recognition, faster feedback and a diversified range of opinion/troubleshooting... making this site a WHOLE lot more addicting, helpful and inspirational than it already is, but more user friendly :)
