Just bought a sweet Galavan to roam America in. Unfortunately, the gas tank is not reading correctly and we are needing a gas tank floater. Any advice where to buy or locate? Good new is, nothing major wrong; we just needed gas. (-:

Welcome. I too have a 1979 Galavan (see profile picture).
The fuel tank sender is the problem and they’re no longer made. It’s a straight Toyota pickup unit, nothing special. There was a seller on e-bay awhile ago out of Thailand selling some. Not sure if he’s still in business. These Galavans are pretty rare. I only know of two others still running. If you have 4 headlights your chassis is actually a 1978. Very important when ordering some drivetrain parts and most body parts. Fred

The thai sending unit may need some adjustment prior to install. Youve been warned lol

Okay, thank you. This helps a lot and it doesn't have 4 headlights. We love our galavan and working on making her a second home as we travel about. I like yours too! We have yet to name ours hoping while on the Pacific coast, we are inspired. I'll check out the Thia dealer. Thanks again!

Oh NO! Well, we do have one truck and a boat that we start with a screw driver so I think adjusting is our thing anyway. (-:

Be sure to check your rear axle. If it has 5 lug nuts it’s very dangerous and not safe for long travel. They had a major recall on these due to the fake duel wheels putting too much stress on the axle shafts causing them to break. PM me for more details.
