Need some west coast help for a V8 swap....

    Ok guys this is the plan. I purchased 2UZ (Tundra 4.7 V8) with motor and trans out of a 2000 2wd. I got the computer and the engine wiring harness but their is more to the equation. In order for the truck to run I need another harness which is the harness from the fuse panel to the computer inside the cab. I also need that fuse box. Without these two parts the truck will not run. I have searched everywhere and no luck. Forget dealer they want over a $1000 for it.

    I know I could go with a Chevy or Ford but I want something all Toyota. It will be going into my 93 as you see in my avatar. It is now going on two years an no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I thought about Megasquirt but I'am not sure it will work with COP (coil on plug) igntion. Any ideas?:confused:

    I believe that Megasquirt will work. I know that the website is hard to navigate, but if you haven't already, dedicate a whole evening or two (order a pizza) and dig in. I researched a project for myself and also a friend and found that it was possible to adapt to the SR20DET nissan engine which also runs coils.

    You will have to read a whole lot of technical jargon, but it will be worth it.
    Also, look in their tuning forum and search your engine. There may already be tuning software for it...
