need some carb advice

    i want to eventually put side drafts on my 22r but i do not want to mess with any of the vac. lines until i know more how to do it. any pointers on what i should do first would help.

    if you go side drafts you have 3 lines, max. there's just no way to hook up the emissions crap.

    No it wont. Need to have every component, and in good enough working order to pass a sniffer.

    They failed my 82 (gramps owned it then) several years ago. He had to go out and buy a 240 dollar thermo switch or something just to pass.

    He was pissed.

    Yeah, for side drafts it's pretty simple: throw away every vacuum line and anything connected to it except the big one for the brake booster. The one other line I kept on my truck was the distributor advance.
