Does anyone know of a place that carries the side vents (near the door handles on the body) for a '76? See the image below. Does anyone have an extra pair available to sell?

Both mine are pretty much gone. I'm assuming the '77 and '78 vents are interchangeable, but I can't seem to locate any yet.

your truck has the early small vents that came on 73-early 75ish trucks. they are pretty tough to find. usually on ebay. look under rn20/rn22. they do pop up but usually aren't cheap.

Nice. Thanks for the tip. I'll keep an eye out for some using those terms.

Haha that was quick - thanks for the info. Do you know if these side vents will bolt up to the '76 spots with a stock look? Has anyone tried this? It looks like they could work, but the recesses for the vents on my truck look a little smaller.

I really just want something with a stock look to cover up what is currently an eyesore and place for water to get in.

I need a set of the same style too. I have one that was broken and glued back together. I'll post a pic later tonight and you can see what they should look like. Or just check the pics on my thread in the introduce yourself section.there should be one there you can see

Cool, an image of just the vent would be nice. I checked out your introduction images and could sorta see them, but a little more detail would help me when cruising the eBay listings.

Your truck is super clean, by the way! Great color and what looks like good condition. You lucked out!

as you can see my 73 had a smaller pillar and they fit better. in 75 the pillar grew and they used the small ones for a little while.

Thanks for the link and images, guys. I totally understand what I'm looking for. I can see why they break on everyone's rig - too bad they're not made of metal or something more substantial. Maybe I can figure out some sort of replacement piece that will look cooler...

Just make one out of metal with the same bolt patterns. Maybe even a rectangular air cleaner?

It almost looks like you could cut an 8-track in half the long, flat way and end up with a pair of covers.

Haha this is turning into a good brainstorm! Both of these ideas are great... keep 'em coming. I'm definitely going to look at piles of junk with different eyes now. The 8-track idea is particularly dope.
