Ok, first off i did a whole new steering linkage (inner/outer tie rods, center link, and steering stabilizer) and a whole new set of ball joints. the problem im having is that the steering fails to straighten after making a turn. Do i have to break it in or what? Im not to sure.

Any advice would help me, i just dont know where to start.
also i haven't done a shop alignment yet if that got something to do with it.

Anytime you do extensive front end work like you did, it's always a good idea to have a pro~shop alignment done ... That should cure it ...

I've noticed the truck doesn't have a whole lot of self-centering. Did it self-center before? any other mods/work done?

Its because you have too much negative caster. The more positive the caster gives you steering wheel returnability. Alignment will cure your issues. (unless you actually have a binding issue which isint likely...) EDIT: re-read what you did... Steering linkage would only affect toe setting so its kinda strange your having that problem. None the less prob an alignment issue.
