Mystery stud

    Looking in the engine bay, I see this stud,with a rubber mount (see the pictures). It is smallish, no more than 3/4 inch across.

    It is attached to the inner face of the wheel well on the passenger side. See the red arrow in the diagram.

    The threads on it are clean, which leads me to believe that something was attached to it recently. But I can't figure out what. Nothing seems loose or out of place. Any ideas?

    I dunno what that is, but I ain't got one. If the truck runs fine, it's nothing important, right?

    I know exactly how to find out what it is for. Take it off and throw it away!
