Here are a few pics of my Yota when I first got it a couple years back. Pretty bad shape but I had time.
The following pics might be a bit bulky, but there's only a few then I took the rest with my phone. The next set of pics were while I was stripping the initial parts off. I was getting it ready to put in a friends shop. Unfortunately, the deal fell through and I had my first medical set back.
After the shop issues and then my medical situation I decided to just take money and invest it in my barn and make it a shop. It's not the biggest and definitely not the best but it does the job pretty good. Below are a few shots of hard it was to clear for concrete.
These pics are gonna be bit newer. Once again I had some medical issues to handle so some time passed. These are pics of my harnesses, frame and body in their current state. My initial plan was to work on the cab but then decided to go ahead finish the bag setup first. That's where this pic comes in. As you can see the step notch is almost complete. I still need to weld on caps for the frame rail to make it pretty. As soon as I get all my parts in I will be starting on the rest. And this is what happens when you take entirely to long to finish your build...
Sup all... here's a few more pics of the frame in it's current condition. This first pic is near the radiator support where I welded in the new flat bar for support. I'll be finishing this part of the drop after I finish the bag setup. This is a close-up of the driver's side step notch. It is complete all but the frame rail caps. They will make it look a lot better plus a little added support. This is a close-up of the passenger's side step notch. I wasn't able to finish this one yet because of the brake valve. I read where some of you guys had removed these. Does anyone have input regarding this or alternate idea. As you can tell, I've already tore the front down in prep for bag setup. Also, I have to replace the inner and outer tie rod ends. The boots were ripped and they were getting stiff. BTW, I have 2" Belltech spindles as well.
Just a little update. I haven't done too much... laziness! Here is a pic of the rear of my frame. I have the rear crossmember welded in place and the factory one removed. I will be adding another crossmember and my fuel tank will be mounted in between.
I had a little bit of free time today so I was able to finish up my fuel tank mount. I got the second crossmember welded in place. Got the whole mounting area prepped and primed. Checked the tank again to make sure nothing moved during welding. Everything fit as it should. I still need to grind some edges for a flush mount and then prep for paint. Here's the way it sits for now. I'll going to try to get the tank prepped tomorrow and start on the 4 link mounting brackets. Cya.
Hey guys. I didn't get a chance to get these on here last night so here they are. The first couple of pics are of the first lower bar mounts being welded in place. I took pics from both both front and rear view so you get a better idea of my layout. The next two pics are of the second lower bar mounts being welded in place. Again, I included both angles for better view. Also, feel free to hit me with any comments. Some of this stuff is set but some of this stuff is new to me, so you may save a headache or two.
It's been a few days since my last update. I've managed to make quite a bit of progress with some warm days. As you can see in the pics below, I got the remainder of the lower bar mounts completed. In the next pics I got the uppers in place and mounted. Also, I got a couple of me at work. This first pic in the group is of me grinding off a brake mount that was in the way. This one is of me getting the tacks done for the test fit. It's all downhill from here.
Ya its not that active in here anymore. Think its cause of the holiday season. Love the progress though. Keep it up bro.
yeah looking good bro, wish mine was coming along !.. and yeah it has been dead man I get on here a few times a day and there will be ZERO new posts, its depressing sometimes lol
