ok so here are some pics of my truck finally im not finished painting it but you can get the idea i need to find a staight bumper for it still and lower the rear a bit more and this is the center console i have been working on just need to get something to cover it the paint is not working very well going with a grey and black interior working on the door panels and dash pad at the moment which are also going grey and this is just a side shot the bed tiger striped pretty bad but its coming along sorry if the pics are kinda crapy

ya took me about 2 weeks to get it where i wanted it the speakers where a last minute idea

 

i got a straight bumper, needs chrome tho.

i used krylon after trying a couple kinds of rustoleum and getting nothing but tiger stripes, even after 6 coats in controlled conditions.

 

I'm guna do that same thing with the center console after i get some buckets. It's going to go up the back wall for a sub or two.

well thanks i was actually thinking about making another one and doing the same thing with a sub but i would have to cut out the back of the cab to get the room might happen during the winter

 

ya i used krylon on the cab and the fenders and the rustoleum on the bed has about 4 cans on it but for the bumper i think im going to paint that black also or try and find a place that does black chrome i think that would look pretty sharp need to get new seals for the windows so i can tint them and black is pretty much the only way to go

ok so on friday night i decided im gonna pull my hybrid out of the celica and put it in the lux i figured there is no reason to have a $3000 engine in a $300 dollar beater and plus the truck weighs around 800 pounds less than the car and with that type of power to weight ratio the lux is going to be fast as all hell but im a little upset come to find out my timing chain cover has a crack in it where the front 8mm head bolt goes into it and i sold all my spare parts ill have some pics up soon as i can thought you all would like an update

no thats not mine i put the motor out of the lux in it need something to drive that dosent run premium damn high compression

 

i like the console. mine is very similar on the front half. looking back i should have totally started from scratch and not try to make half an s10 console to half a 4runner console with a big gap. lol. im waiting on glass to dry right now then ill go do some more work on it. its ugly as sin right now, but i dont care. itll sand down nice and get wrapped.

 

ya it turned out nice for my first one im thinking about making another one sence im planning on cutting out the back of the cab this winter and putting in a flat panel so i have more room behind the seats

well i got my notch figured out im going to do a monster notch made from some 3.5X2.5 rectangel .188 wall tube
made a templet and it looked alot better than i thought it would so im pretty pumped about that and its only going to cost me about 60 bucks for the material which isnt to bad
so ill have some pics up next week when i start the fab work
