Do you guys prefer mono leafing or think a 3"-4" leaf spring would be better because it's a better ride since there leads missing? Which would give a lower drop?

I went with the lowering leafs, needed it to still function as a truck and haul stuff from time to time. They probably give you about 3" once they're broke in and settled.

If you can avoid a mono leaf dont do it. The chance of a leaf spring breaking that way is very high. If your wanting a cheap 3" drop go with drop blocks. JMO :waytogo:

Or find some 4x4 leaf packs.

3" drop blocks are really cheap. Soo cheap their cheaper than replacing a broken leaf pack because someone decided to mono leaf their truck and broke them. They are easy to install too. :waytogo:

i know this is old but is middle leaf removal the same as mono leaf?? my bigger question is do the drop leafs maintain spring rate?

"mono" as in single leaf spring.
I believe with drop leaves you will lose some weight capacity as I believe the spring rate changes with those vs standard leaves. You could always supplement with other devices such as airbags, air shocks and coil-spring shocks.

yeah, monoleafing is dangerous and stupid. I run drop leafs, which are basically stock springs, just de-arched. that does make them softer, so I went with variable rate load bearing shocks that had coilovers on them to compensate.

    No to the Mono leaf
Use dropped springs & angled blocks
