Its do able in cali just got to take everything from gas tank, evap caniter, engine, trans and wiring harness etc and get it refd in. If it blows clean numbers for the vehicle it came out of then they will do it. Just got to do it right which costs alot of time, money, blood, and sweat.

I've been told by my smog guy & others & read more than once that in Cali. in less the car or truck is 25 years old, it must have the same engine it came with!!
    I might be wrong,but I'd check with DMV!

If its an 86 or older, then it shouldn't be a problem...right? Or even an 87 if it's going to take a while to get going.
