i have an 01 extended cab taco. i wanted to lower it. maybe not as far as to having to C channel the frame. well...at least not yet. i just want to lower the truck to its lowest possible tolerances before having to do any heavy modification to the frame. so airbags? what kind? how much? what exactly needs to be done? tools...what do i need? any help is good help.

    thanks

well if you go with bags thats a big job, but if you go with 3 inch blocks and lower springs in the front you should be good with that

but on another note you should go to customtacos.com the site is for tacoma's

i was told by someone that i should go static? and do a small bolt notch. im new to mini trucking. how much work would that be? i like the idea of airbags simply because i can raise and lower my truck.

Hit up member Beefed Taco, he's the king of static Taco's and has a million parts for 'em on his website streetacos.com. The first item on his products page is a 3/4 kit which is ball joint flip and quality rear blocks, u-bolts and bolt on bump stops. Then later you can do coils, a leaf drop and a c-notch to keep it riding smooth at 5/6 or lower. :waytogo:

Ya airbags will be a major job for someone not knowing much. But you could run air shocks for some adjustability
