ok so a couple nights ago i raced my two buddys with hondas they had a del sol d16z6 vtec engine and another was a hatchback with the same engine.

We started at a 10mph roll cuz the streets were kinda wet and from 10-55mph i was ahead bye about half a car but as soon as i get into 3rd gear they take off not very fast but they pass me kinda quick.

Now i know my truck isnt very powerful but i what is it? i know my truck can keep up is it my trans thats keeping me from keeping up? or is it the aerodynamics? idk?

I know my truck can keep up but im pretty sure i need a better trans? right?

our trucks dnt have top end. we have alot of torque but not much hp. thats my opinion. my 22r can swallow honda's from dead stops.. but freeway they pull way higher cuz their rpm ranges

Kept up with two D16z6's? is that saying much?

    put it this way....

    maybe 100hp/21tq(really, honda's feel like 21lb ft of torque) @ like...... 2000-2200lbs?

    versus....

    112hp/130-145tq @ like.... 2400-3000lbs

Gearing may be the difference. Ours weigh a bit more, it's not shaped like a Honda dildo flying through the air, and we don't rev to 7.5grand.

They also row through at least 5 sets of gears. Optimizing their powerband.

We're rowing through 4 or 5 sets of TALL gears.

    We drive trucks.

    But we can change that.

We got 2.4L of displacement, they got 1.6L

down low, they got no balls.
We do. Unless you got tall gears to deal with. That's when 4.10 gears are nice. and a 5spd mt

    Anyway.

I have an automatragic paired with 3.73 gears. That's quite tall for a 22RE.

by the time the truck drives into 2nd, Honda's go through at least 2 or 3 gears.

I also drive an xcab, about 4 times heavier than most honda's.

I also have less rust than more than half of the Honda's.

    They have FWD.
We have RWD. (or 4WD for some).

We can slam our trucks, look better, and some of us can even take speed bumps easier than most Honda's, and not lose our oilpan or half our drivetrain over it.

You can take a firehydrant, and still drive home, in the rain, with a right front tire rubbing.

You also have a RWD setup. Corners please.

Load up a honda with our max payload. See who drives. :D

    My point is?

Don't suck Honda dick. Keep your head up, our Toyota's will keep going. 14 second Honda? that's like coming out of a closet. Surprising, but still fckn gay.

And yes, I really really really really dislike Civics and that gay B/D/15/16/18/20 **** that they talk about all day.

    K20/K24's are acceptable, only in RSX's, and F20C's in S2000's, and NSX's.

Other than that, no civics please. They can be faster than my 22RE, but they're still driving a ****ing Civic.

What hot chick would step into a Civic?

Pour $10k into a Civic. 4cyl and FWD. Really? Can you daily that ****? I bet not. Imagine replacing the silly transmission and CV shafts. and omg, 16" wheels are HUGE!

    oooooorrrr

Pour $10k into your Hilux, or any RWD vehicle.
Shove a V8 in it, IRS, wheels tires. Granted you will only use like $5k, but then, your potential is really high. and you can still daily it like it was from the factory.

Take pride in your truck. It's not perfect, but your potential vs theirs is off da charts.

Just finished dinner and reread what I typed, now that looked pretty harsh. I'll be honest, you did a good job keeping up with two Honduh's.

If you wanna smash something, go race a 4cylinder Mustang.
