Looks like itl be a fun project
Is that bumble bees dad?
Looks nice man, enjoy the build
Thanks guys, just been doing all my shopping to get her road legal, then the fun begins. I’ll keep posting pics as I go...
Yeah bumblebees dad haha
Hey Aaron... you must be in Oz. I saw this advertised when I was looking for a ute. It was a bit far from me from memory... I am in Sydney.
Hey Dave, yup sure am, yeah picked this up pretty quick
Welcome aboard & cool ride!
New upper and lower ball joints, brake cylinders and a good clean and a paint must have been a farm truck at some stage of its life haha
Just installed new seat...
Good job getting some new parts on there.
Front drums on a 77? I thought they switched to front disc at 1975? My 75 has stock disc brakes up front.
Yea thats not a 77.
Looks like it has the early 72-74 cab and bed. Double check the VIN plate in the door jamb should be stamped with a month and year
Unless over seas trucks were built to a completely different spec
Ya, has to be a pre 75
Whats the first 4 of the VIN?
Definitely a 77 in Australia, never got the 20R or disk breaks. It’s (for now) a 1.6 18R with a 4 speed column shift and drums all round
More rust cutting
Thanks, it came with a bunch of parts spare front fenders tail lights window winder assembly etc
So went for my road test today, not so good had to spend $500 on auto electrician to come out and fix all the wiring, all my brakes are leaking steering way too tight and the goddamn water pump started leaking oh and not to mention I blew a Welch plug out haha #mimitrucklife
