picked up a 96 tacoma single cab for 800 bucks from the same person I bought my red 92 from. it was his sisters and its in pretty good shape but she wrecked it. It needs a new door for sure, and the rocker is all smashed in so I have to figure out what to do with that... maybe someone here can give me advice... the frame is straight though. it was checked out at a body shop...

im shocked though, its an automatic and 2rz motor, and man this thing actually has balls ! lol

first things first is get the body straightened out, and if i can get that done without too much problems or price, then ill throw on a clean paint job and my 350z rims...and go from there !

if anyone can help me locate a door and most importantly the rocker panel, I cant find any rockers on any site for this truck...

Log manifolds run about 250. You can run about 7-8psi with the pink injectors that come from the later 3rz motors. Just visit Home to do some searching!

lol thanks guys. I cant wait to start driving it. I put my titan back to stock and I hate even looking at that truck any more just because I miss it the way it was lol. so Im going to hopefully sell it and drive the taco around till I find the right deal on a new truck...maybe when gas hits 5 bucks a gallon ill get a better deal lol...and I already locked myself out of the tacoma, the passenger door doesnt open with a key, something is disconnected in there so I guess Ill try and get through the slider or use a coat hanger..

 

I got the door open today !!! lol... damage doesnt look that bad as long as I can find a replacement rock panel ill be fine... I might even need to replace some of the cab, the vertical part in between the door and the bed is tweaked a little bit, but I think I can pull it out...Im taking it to the body shop as soon as I can get a tag on it this week to see how much my cousin will fix the rocker for...

 

ok guys help me decide please ! found the parts I need for my truck.. heres the issue, I cant decide what to do...

buy the door and rocker panel for 250

the whole cab and door for 500

or the whole truck for 800 no motor or trans

Im thinking about making him an offer for the whole cab with interior.. help me decide lol. this is the only place I found the parts I need within 500 miles

he wont go under 800, and if i want the title its like another 300 because of a lien.

 

Save the money and buy what you need.... Unless the cost of labor to do the repair trumps the 800.

 

I found a door and driver side of cab local for 350 in good shape, im going to pick it up tomorrow.
