Taking Retirement Toy to the Yodaman's shop this Tuesday, he is the Toyota expect in Northern Cali .
I have this idle problem for some time where if you hold the rpms at 2,000 after the engine is at running temp.it will drop & than go back repeatably. On a long road trip that will happen from 1,000 rpm .
Hoping he can find the fix & at the same time I'll have him adust the valves,as I have not done that in a long time.

So I spent two days over in Santa Rosa, Larry found a bad 02 sensor & a bad TPS unit, changed both out & adjusted the valves.
    Problem seems to be fixed.
The mechanic broke the drivers side inside door handle , of which they gave me a replacement part.
I installed that & I'm changing the solenoid as it was working intermittently thumbnail.jpg

I replace my O2 sensor every 75,000 miles as preventative maintenance. It doesn't seem to need it when I do, but afterwards the performance improvement is noticeable. Gas mileage also goes up a bit as well. For $28 bucks for a Bosch unit it's worth it.
