I was thinking about buying a new truck but how could i possibly replace my beloved 1990 Stout/Hilux,. I can't :D How ever I did find the next best thing, I was on my beloved "Wikipedia" reading up on Toyota Hilux, when I discovered that in 1996 they seperated the Tacoma and hilux line, (Kinda the same deal as celica/supra in the 1980's) when they seperated the trucks they quit selling Hilux's in the USA, long story short WIKI toyota hilux, and now I'm THINKING  maybe I should try to Import a Hilux

I bet shipping one over will be pretty penny. :eyecrazy: They are nice, though. Been thinkin about getting a Tacoma myself in few years (after the wife graduates).

not quite so...... you should read up on the differences... it may share the same chassis but other than that they are quite different :waytogo:

if you further down into mexico and south america you will find HiLux trucks. just take a vacation down south and drive one up :waytogo:
