I have a 94 standard pick up that I want to do the 4runner conversion on. I've been told that I can do this with the 94 4runner fenders, hood, grill etc. Question is, can iI to use the parts from a 95? Is the any difference or anything that I'd have to do for it to work?
Should be able to use any of the 89-95 parts. I believe it was 1995.5 when they put out the 3rd gen 4runner/Tacoma and body changed.
To do it best you chop back to the firewall and go 4-runner all the way. This is what I did in my '92, and I used a '95 4-runner. Off the shelf you can swap 4wd fenders and hood which I know for sure. Before I did the swap, I tried to get the front end together on my '92, and the 4-runner head light assemblies and some of the mounting tabs of the grill did not line up to the '92 radiator support. If you install the 4-runner radiator support you get everything to line up. I have pics somewhere, I'll search. I have done this swap.
