hey im brand new to this place i bought a wrecked 1986 2wd

i cut off the core support welded a new one on (its actually off a 1994 so i can run a 3rd gen grill and get to use the appropriate holes for the grill).

got new fenders, hood, water pump, radiator and all that crap. put blocks in the rear, torsion turn front and plan to do the bj flip asap as i just learned about on here and added some 17's and i decided to go with the 2wd fenders the match the bed lines.

i will be adding a paint job real quick to. i already bought the paint its called tank green kinda olive in color and am already doing paint prep

otherwise i generally always had and still have 4x4 toyotas. as you can see this is my other current project

so bear with me and my dumb questions, so as of now here are my two questions.
Q1 Can you ad spacers when doing the ball joint flip to get a lil lower or would that be kinda ghetto.
    and also
Q2 i have some airbags off a semi truck that have about ten inches of up and down movement with link bars from it as well, has anyone run such big airbags in the rear to drag there tail. i dont really want a super dumped truck but kinda like the idea of dumping all the air and throwing a few sparks every now and then. ill get some pics of the airbags tomorrow

Q1) you can add a spacer to the b/j flip but i think the largest spacer i used on my buddy's truck was 1/2 inch..... otherwise you may be looking to need longer bolts to bolt in the b/j's back into place.

Q2) im sure you can use the bags but all depends on how much room you got back there in order to fit them.... what size diameter are they? im sure someone will be able to better answer this question. not much of a bag guy myself as much as just know what ive researched about them. as for links....... same applies..... not sure how "big" of a track bar you got if they were off a semi but if you can make it fit...... i suppose they will work :D

welcome to the site by the way. the crawler rig looks sick...... what kinda setup you got on it?

ya i might pass on the spacers due to possible bump steer issues.
and ill probably hold off on the bags since the arent the "up" kind i guess they are also 12 inches in diameter so a bit to big.

the 4wd its got 83 front axle,fj rotos, calipers, 1 1.2 spacers, hi steering, every guesset imanginable, chromo inners, open with, RUF's, homemade 15' shock hoops with bilstein 14" nitrogen 7100's, 87 rear spooled, with flipped durango leafs, custom gas tank/tool box concoction, exo, axle pushed forward 4" steering box forward 2". motor has been lifted 2" and the trans and transfer has been lifted 8" to make it a flat belly, i dont have much a floor to hold my subaru seats anymore, 22re, 39.5 iroks 27"inch belly and on and on and on
a few more pics of recently added items i put together

wow........ thats an impressive list of mods....... how responsive is the steer in with the axle pushed out that far? do your wheels plow a bit under full lock?

the postion of the axle doesnt seem to make a difference when steering it still has the same geometry (if thats the word im looking for) not matter where you set it and it actually feels real soft more than it used to. and it doesnt have that plow effest yet but thats bc i havnt added a front locker yet. once i do that it will be doing that like crazy so ill probably do hydro assist when i ad the front locker
