I am trying to decide if an LS1 will fit in my truck and still be able to keep a stock hood after I bodydrop my truck. I know how tall and LS1 is, but does anyone know the height of a 22re? Does anyone have their engine out and on a stand that could put a measuring tape or something from bottom of oil pan to highest point on intake manifold. I measured mine in the truck, and it comes to something like 28 or so inches, but that's not being able to get an exact point on the bottom. Can someone help me out?

 

theres somebody on the forum with a boddied truck with an ls1. hes in australia, I cant remember his name but search and he has tons of pics to show what fits and doesnt fit.
