Are there any good places to find a Hilux bed like this? I've got some friends down in Australia but I don't want to think how much shipping would cost me to get one sent to the states.
Not likely to find one here. Those beds were not offered to North America in the 89-95 body style. Not sure if mexico got them or not but you would probably be better off getting one shipped from Australia then finding a clean one south of the border.
Yeah probably not very likely to find a clean one in Mexico lol. Though Canada.... maybe. They did get some Diesels and JDM stuff we didn't get here. If I could get my hands on a 1JZTT Soarer 5 Speed....
I dunno what you're saying here, but I'd personally be fetching one from Mexico before I'd consider Canada, definitely no snowy weather to tear up cars down south unless you get one that was parked near the beach most of its life. Another consideration would be to call up Toyota fiberglass - I know they make the older 4th gen bed like that, but dunno if they reproduce the 5th gen pickup bed you're looking to match.
Because things get chopped up and beat up in Mexico lol. If I'm gonna spend the money to ship a bed here, I want it to be in good condition.
