Hi all first post so take it easy on me ha.

Well just picked up my 71 stout here in Japan and am already looking to lower and get some wheels.

Ive had a quick look round the forums here but didnt have to much luck. Links to other pages here greatly appreciated.

Im wanting to ask if anyone could help out with the following info or suggestions for possible wheel upgrade. Any pics, or experiences here as im bloody green!

    1. Offset for stock wheels found on 71 stout.
    2. Max wheel width or recommended wheel width for upgraded (wider) wheels considering this truck will be driven daily.
    3. Recommended wheel offset for front and rear without the need to roll/ pull guards
    4. Stud pattern = 114.5*5 right?

    Thank you in advance

    Rhys

Apologies, I should mention also I would be interested in a larger wheel size (17") and low profile tire.
    Cheers all

Info is going to be hard to give as there are very few stouts on this forum.

My recomendation will be, lower it however much youre going to (if your current wheel/tire set up allows it) and measure how much space you have from the wheel to the fender and turn either direction and measure that and see how much space your wheels have to work with.

As far as offset, pull one off, and measure the backspacing and convert that to offset and use willtheyfit.com for reference.

    Hey Jetas,

Cheers for the info, very handy. I will definitely give it a go. Thought i was nuts when I was struggling to find info on here.

Do you recommend any other places that may feature more info on Stouts?

This site has the most info on Stouts that I've found so far and it's still not much info unfortunately.

I hope you do find more info out there - I hope to own a Stout someday and will likely need it!
