Damn nuts won't budge, neither the lock nut, or main nut. Whole bolt spins though. Been coating it in ATF, but it hasn't done much good.

    Any suggestions?

how big of a breaker bar are you using?

the way i adjust them is i bought a closed end 22mm wrench roughly over 1 foot long....... i use this for the upper lock nuts........ and i use a 2 and a half foot 1/2 inch breaker bar for the adjustment bolt from the bottom. coat the bolt in penetrating oil..... atf is not gonna be thin enough. use these items and you should be able to adjust your torsion.

**btw you do not have to unlock the top nuts from eachother.... so long as you get the bolt to spin through the lower lock nut it will lower the truck. make sure to measure your threads from the end of the bolt to the upper lock nut.**

Well, I'm trying to take the whole thing off. Have to take off torsion bar, strut bar, steering arm, etc to get the lower arm off the passenger side from suspension. It's buckled, needs replaced. I want the bolts off, so I can get the torsion bar off. What would you suggest for penetrating oil? I dig aerokroil, but I don't have any at the moment. Been trying to use two brand new 22mm box wrenches to lossen the nuts. And the nuts aren't lined up perfectly, unlike the nuts on the parts truck I'll be taking the replacement lower arm off of. So getting them apart is somewhat of a "have to".

well........ use what you have at your disposal....... you can use a heat gun or torch to heat the bolts and allow the oil to seep into the threads. you can loosen the bolt just loose enough with the truck off the ground. once the torsion is loose enough you can remove the torsion without th need to pull the bolts completely off. they ride on splines so you can actually undo the side from the arm and slide it out. just pull down on the bar some and slide it out.
