I dont wanna ask the question because am sure that its been asked too many times. But I was wondering if anyone can link me to a good site or thread that I can learn about different air bag setups and i guess just general info about air bags Thanks
SSM? Idk just some basic info. I have some that can do some welding for and so I just wanna find out about different setups that will only require a baby notch and allow me to keep my bed intact. Not trying to lay body just a nice 4 or 6 inch drop. I feel like its been asked several times Thanks
thanks, i google air bag suspension forums and this didnt come up this what I was looking for...thanks truck action.
So I think I got it. After doing some research, The setup I think I wanna go with is a bag over axle setup. using a small c notch and a 2 link setup which would allow me to achieve a 4 to 6 inch drop all around and keep my bed intact and give me a somewhat sleeper look. And aired up close to stock height. I think I'm gonna go with 8 valves. And probably 5 gal tank to keep as much space in the bed as possible. Not sure how many compressors I need however. But I would like to be able to be lil switch happy occasionally. My questions are 1. will a bridge give me a bag on bar setup and eliminate the need for a cnotch but still leave my bed somewhat intact? 2 is 2 link possible on an 84 or yota period? seen this on other makes but not on our trucks. 3 I need shocks BAD should I spend the money and get the drop shocks or just any shocks fine? Next what do I do with the front? I don't wanna spend 800 bucks on a arms what are some other options? Again not trying to body it just an all over stanced look but keep everything in place as much as possible. Thanks fellas sorry for the novel Oh yea at the most I wanna run 18s but mostly it'll be 15s
Ok if your gonna go through with all the work an money spent on bagging it you might aswell lay the bitch out. You can always raise the bed floor an still keep it functional. Bag on axle wont ride the best an try going with a 3 link or 4link those are the best an will keep your pinion angle at optimum degree. Ill post a pic of my bed so you can see its still functional keep in mind mines raised for a body drop aswell so yours wont have to be so shallow
Thanks but I still need a deep bed cuz I haul crap from time to time. I'm the family hauler now for crap. Pickup truck problems And I'm not that much of a fan of the bodied minis. They look cool n I respect it but not for me. I wouldn't laying frame but I really don't wanna cut my truck up that much.
You don't have to body it. Mines just raised up for it cause ima be bodied one day. It could probably be around 4-5" deeper than what it is right now. What size wheel an tire do you plan on running? Tht will help with notch size. Hell I remember seeing on mazdabscene some guys were just Z'ing the rear frame after the cab so they wont need a notch an just raising the bed floor a little bit
the biggest I would like is 18s. But the set I have my eyes on right now are 15s. Yea I remember seeing that as well and wouldnt mind it. But cutting up a frame like that is a lil concerning especially since I live in Virginia and we have annual inspections so I need to make itll pass safety inspections
Im sure it would if you plate it up an make it safe. Its pretty much same as a notch. You'd have to ask on streetsource as to what other ppl in VA have done
tru thanks i was looking online and I saw a isuzu pup with the bed fenders cut out and the notches going thru there but the only part of the bed that was cut was were the notch stuck out. Is that something possible with my yota? If so then cool because i dont want to lose my hauling capabilities.
