OK, quick question. I picked up a powermaster 1/3 wire 140 amp 12si although from Summit and a 12si wiring pigtail from Napa. I also ordered the brackets, but they still aren't here yet. The factory although has a hot wire and two wires(one for kick on, the other for the dash light, right?), the terminals on the 12si are marked "1" and "2". Which wire from the factory harness goes to each terminal? The truck is a 92 22r DLX long bed with the single cab, if any of that matters.

    Thanks,
    Wally

Okay, so the factory plug has THREE wires, in addition to the hot wire... How which wire goes to what? And is one of the wires left disconnected, or is it tied in with one of the others? Or is the extra wire a ground???

everything is done except for the wire harness/plug swap and the nut on the bottom alternator bolt. Why isn't the bolt on? Can't get to it. Plus, my uni-bit caught while opening up the connector on the new power wire so that it will fit my terminal. Wire yanked over, and spooled up on the uni-bit. the wire caught around the first knuckle on my left ring and middle fingers, breaking the ring finger halfway between the tip and first knuckle. :eyecrazy:

Anyways, that IS a great site, but I need an adapter, or a wiring guide, going from the factory harness to a SI series alt, not a CS series. There are cs-si adapters, but they go the wrong way. It would appear that two of the wires go together (two white wires(both labeled "W" in the haynes manual), but this wiring diagram is sorta crap, to be honest. it has all of the required information, but it doesn't label half of the devices. Like the battery, for instance. :duh:

Anyways, I just need to find someone that has put a 12si in as a 3 wire and find out from them which wire goes to which wire on the 12si plug.

    UPDATE!

    Just found this...
