    I run a 3 wire GM12SI ,billet cased ,100 amps @ idle/150 above, from Quality Power
High Output Alternators & High Torque Starters 909-794-1600
I got a plug from them that goes straight from the stock Toyota plug to the alternator.

Sweet. Could you post a pic of what wires go to what on that plug? I'll just make my own so I don't have to wait on more parts !

I sold my Toyota about 6 months ago, but from what I remember I only used the two wires from the harness and one from the alt To the battery...on the 12si harness terminal 2 goes to the charge/battery wire, (should be fat white.) Terminal 1 goes to batt. Indicator light/ ignition. Make sure you run a good size cable from alternator back battery terminal to the positive battery post. Or you can just loop terminal 2 wire to the back post with battery cable. If you do that you'll have to hit like 1200 rpm before it starts charging. Hopefully that helps. I know Toyota liked to change up voltage regulators a lot so wire colors could be different. But fat white usually stayed the same.

And the rest of my wires I just cut out and taped up in the harness. I don't recommend that. That pigtail harness mentioned above sounds pretty awesome. I'd go for that.
