gauge cluster

    for some reason my speedometer doesn't kick in for the first minute of driving any ideas i checked the plugs on the gauges fuel gauge works temp does to just the speedometer is like delayed at showing

    I had a truck that the speedo would hang up around 30-40 sometimes, it would stop then after I would keep accelerating it would jump up to what spped I was doing. I think it if you have an electronic speed sensor (93+) it's the speedo needle just hanging up. If you have a speedo cable (92-) it may be the cable itself, but I doubt it. Sounds just like your needle is hanging up then once it gets enough pressure it jumps up to where it belongs

    Get a new cluster or speedo? maybe take it apart and try to clean it?

    (edit) noticed you have a 92? some of them had electronic some had cable... you'll know if you pull it...

    yea its electric when i was redoing the interior i had it out im probably gonna get a new speedo that one i cleaned when it was out but aslong as it just jumps at the average speedlimit when im drivin itll be fine after it does the jump it works fine thanks for the help
