My 77 hasn't ran in a few years so along with everything else I'm replacing I've also decided to replace the fuel pump. I happen to have a perfect spare tank from a parts truck that I'm going to swap in. My current tank has a huge dent, and instead of repairing that I figured this would be easier.

I swapped the fuel pump and before I reinstalled it back into the tank I noticed this threaded portion. Is there something missing from the fuel pump assembly that was in this tank?

That's weird, it should be a straight tube to the top.

I know this is an older post; however I thought I should share a response. The line on my fuel pump is exactly the same and doesn't connect to anything.
