I an wanting to install an aftermarket fuel level gauge but not sure what the ohm reading is or can I just put in an aftermarket sender? Anyone done this or have any input?

 

I believe the sending units and gauges from auto meter have a universal ohm goes from 0 to 280 ohms programmable
Then they have 0 to 90 ohms gm and 0 to 30 gm sending units
