Thanks. The next big thing is to make the back glass roll down like the four runners

then dont use the 4runner motors.... spendy little units and prone to failure. I would personally go to a pick and pull and find a large windowed car and snake a couple of those motors.

Well they are a little underpowered. I didn't put it correctly. IF the motor burns up its expensive to replace....
Biggest issue was the wiring which is overly complicated and to make it work correctly it all needs to be chucked and replaced with new wiring and relay set up.

    4 RUNNER REAR WINDOW KIT

Best replacement I've seen and found. Helped a friend install and it worked awesome!

Yup, hence the 12voltguy kit. Totally simplifys it. I believe the stock runner (85-88) there are 2 computer boxes and relays. And about 15 not needed wires!

By the way, love how yours is coming along!

Makes me more confident in the belltech springs on the stout when it gets here!

    4-5" drop?

What shock did you end up going with on the front?

After messing with this stupid four runner 80% of the wiring was for safety crap, locks, and reverse and licens plate lights. all I need is two wires that went to the motor.

Yeah around that drop, problem with that extrem of a drop is that you going have to do something with your wheel wells and notch that back frame and cross member. I'm running 14s with a 50 series tires and had a half inch to a inch gap from the tires to the inner fenders.

I'm running 69 camaro shocks on the front end, but I would recommend doing air shocks

So you recommend air shocks. There are a lot of airshocks out there. Regular airshocks, air/bag set ups. Do tell which variety you are talking?

I am not scared of some fabrication as I have been a off roader for many years and that requires a lot of fab. Got a welder in the garage and if I dont have the tools my friend does. (tube bender, notcher, plasma cutter)

Im going to be working on a Stout so there is a lot more room under the fenders and to the fenders so guessing I will not need to cut the wheel well. Some on here have 4-5" drop and I think it looks GOOD!

Well it wouldn't be static drop with air bags lol so regular air shocks.
I wish I had a plasm cutter it would of made my life so much easier,

Thanks for answering all my questions!

The shocks ya got, camaro for the front correct? Assuming you want the air shocks to raise a little bit is that correct or so you have another reason to want them?

69 Camaro z28, i don't know if they make air shocks for a camaro. The reason I said go with air shocks is to have a nicer ride, I need to do some work on my front shock to have some more travel
