Other than finding a donor truck, have any of you Stout owners found another repair solution? Are there repair panels that are worth it -- will they even work? My thought is to find a similar size panel at the junk yard. I have a utilitarian repair patch under the vinyl wall-to-wall floor mat now but I'd like to start work on cleaning up the interior: new door panels, recover the seats, and repaint. I'm noticing that many of you are welding in sheet metal and then either POR-15 or spray liner. Here's a link to photos: Picasa Web Albums - Mister Miyagi - Mr Miyagi

there are no replacement panels as such i know of, yet in a little suzuki lj80 4X4 i once used a metal spare tire cover that had similar ridges pressed into it, personally i would look for an old van or pick up truck and cut sections out of the bed and weld that in rather than just flat sheet metal.
as the stouts have a relatively flat floor flat sheet metal would be an easy way to put a complete new floor, yet with my experience the pressed ridges are very important in holding structural integrity and with my 1976 RK101 stout (australia) the floor has creases in it from it being on rough roads and on the left side i had to weld up a large crack formed by the floor creasing under the weight of the cabin sitting on the rubber spacer under the two screws in the photo (photos australia is right hand drive) but both side have creases [IMG] [IMG]

in the photos it is slightly hard to see the creases, yet if you know the under frame and how the cabin bolts on you can see that the floor has dropped around quarter inch in front of the mounting bolts.
oh and a photo of my 1962 before i stripped all the old paint off http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums...35505882_100000127297423_713176_4212928_n.jpg
