i dont have any pics of it but i had a 69 el camino with a built 350 and the first on i bought myself was a slammed 69 chevy longbed i sure do miss that truck
I don't have any pics of it right now but I too had a Cougar. It was a 69 with a 351 Windsor. It was in pretty nice shape when I got it but I sure changed that after my first winter of driving it. Wish I could have it back now and restore it.
nothin like riding a cougar hard and putting her away wet. my first "keys" were for a 77 AMC V8 pacer, fastest fishbowl ive ever driven. my first title was a 79 civic, liked the car but it kept falling apart (literally) or bits would exit the engine in the most direct route possible, did 3 engines in one year. if i had it still id put a FWD 4age in it with a yota tranny and have a killer lil sleeper.
Man, wish my first car was like all of yours! My first car, or should I say minitruck, was an '86 Ford Ranger 2wd std cab. The guy I bought it from painted it a dark metallic blue, it had limo tint and chrome 15's (that was big back in tha day) Paid $1000 for it. I traded that truck a year later for $1200 on a '93 Yota in '95.
My first ride was a 94 yota minitruck slammed on 17s I'll find some pics of it. Well I have some on my myspace. Myspace.com/atallwhiteguy
my first one was a '73 Caddy sedan de'ville. It was white over black, with the vinyl top. It had a 502 in it, big block powaaaahhhhhh! I wish I still had that drivetrain.....the body was rotten as all get out!
i still have mine as well ....1966 mustang 2001 2009 (the little scratch looking thing is from scanning the photo, not on the car itself)
still have mine....... it's my 93' toyota dad bought it new with like 2 miles directly off the dealership delivery truck lol I got it when I was 16 but first drove it well before that lot of memories in my lil truck
'78 dodge aspen, 360 interceptor engine, custom cowl hood scoop (air cleaner wouldn't clear hood), slots, LOUD exhaust, a real pu$$y wagon for a freshman. rear leafs made it sweet running gravel roads. good for 75 in a 50 ticket at 14 years old and the cop told my grandpa he "suspected" I was running well over 100 when he first shot me but the gun wouldn't lock in. hee hee hee. my dad inherited it when I bought a camaro and he still has it. we throw a battery in it every now and then and do donut in the field. the pic was one of those times.
my first vehicle was a 85 mazda b2000 but it actually had bad rings so i really didn't get to drive it so i would say my first was my 77 chevy stepside with 16inch boyds lowered bags in rear custom bench seat nice and fun truck still miss it
1968 bug shoulda kept it but then again with all the cars and bikes I've been through I'd need a big garage on a acre. you know how you can mark certain times in your life with certain songs? I mark them with the cars/bikes too and i miss all of them. Had to sell one project to pick up another but thats all in the fun of building
Mine was a 1963 VW baja bug with a 2.3l ford pinto engine conversion very fun little car. Dont have it anymore but it was fun building it. The other one is a 77' super beetle that I drove to.
I had an 81 Mazda RX-7 as my first car. After that I had a 78 Ford Pinto and an 83 VW Scirocco. I have had various other vehicles since, but it was an 87 Camry wagon that made me fall in love with Toyotas. I think I miss the Scirocoo most of all, though. It was a Wolfsburg Edition. It had a 1.8L 8 valve (yes, 8 valve) engine that I could *never* find parts for with a *close* ratio 5 speed.
First cars were the best. I know about those Scirocoo's. I have seen those things fly at the drags. Lots of torque in that little 8 valve 4 banger
