    useful info...

The difference in the 84-88 & 89-95 Toyota extra-cab rear windows is that the 84-88 model trucks have a bigger glass...its an inch bigger than the 89-95

Toyota put the key codes on the passenger door locks.

    Axle width:
    73-78 ~ 53"
    79-83 ~ 55"
    84-88 ~ 57"
    89-95 ~ 58.5"
    95-04 ~ 60"

    Wheelbase:
    79-95 Std Cab ~ 103" wheelbase
    84-88 X-cab/ std longbed ~ 112" wheelbase
    89-95 X-cab/ std longbed ~ 122" wheelbase

    Rough offset guide:
    7" ~ +30-35
    7.5" ~ +35-40
    8" ~ +40-45
    8.5" +45 and up.

my owners manual for 1979 lists the std. cab/shortbed wheelbase as 101.8", and the std. cab/longwheelbase as 110.2"

Quick easy way to gain 1/2 quart of oil capacity from stock oil filter is to use an older Ford V8 oil filter.

toyota basic oil filter holds roughly 1/2 qt.
ford older v8 filter can hold 1 full qt.

Okay. (edit) I (edit) like this area, FAQ: where do you look through the parts catalog that blows everything up and, u kno, tags all the part numbers?

Well that's a good question; I've seen these upside down in a book way back and on many computer screens.

There must be a place to find these online, stashed away, maybe physical for some one to take a picture?

...and who runs this place anyway, can we get a clean up on aisle #3 !? :doah::looney:

Speaking of which, am in gonna get I trouble for mass uploading my fsm and related materials? :verdict_in:

Also, not sure yet but Depop may be where I post to an e-commerce site with 'Vintage' Toyota parts?? As far as I can tell it's not restricted, can't sell perfume or fire extinguishers tho..I can live with.

Etsy ppl do it and they're also mad about it I think.
