extra gear

    ok so not to think im coming in this conversation ignorant but ive got a friend that is building his 89 supra up really nice and over the past couple of years hes had a few shells and coming along with them hes had some sh**ty drivetrains all diddnt matter to him cause he did a turbo 2jz in it but since hes been parting out 7mg's and what not he has a w58 that he will give me if i can use it.:drool: ok, i have a g40 tranny and my ears perked up when given the chance to get higher geared tranny and 5th gear. ive read a bit and i dont have a problem altering the driveshaft if absolutely necessary, i understand that the tranny mounts may be a little different but if im not mistaken its only one mount and its in the back. also im sporting the bench seat and im not sure if there is a problem with the shifter hittin it from a possiable shift backwards. any one see any other problems?

    78 lolux and an 89 ramcharger
    you may need to use a bellhousing and throwout setup from a W58 celica (80-85ish) with a 22R. im not sure if the W55/56 style from later pickups will work.
