So my turbo truck has become my daily driver and im starting to notice problems with, i dont know if they where there before or they are new. But everytime i get of the freeway from work (30-40 miles) when im stopped at a stoplight the idle starts rising and falling back to place and then dropping and almost cutting out, What could this be caused by?
idle control valve is sticking, when you are driving to work its closed cause the throttle is open, then when you stop at the end of the freeway or whatever its sticking and making the idle all crazy, you can try spraying wd40 in the iac holes in the opening of the throttle to clean it out, but more then likley you will need a new valve.
The up/down idle can also be caused by the idle speed being too high, normally when stopped with your foot on the brake the idle will surge up and down, remove foot from the brake and it quits, if so adjust the idle speed down.
i tried that nook, but my truck had the eradict idle today when it was cold but it was fine on the way back from work it was fine except for a few hiccups
