I'm set on doing an engine swap. I want either a 1jz or a 2jz either one twin turbo. Which one would be better. I'm lookin on eBay an seems like the 1jz twin turbo an tranny is cheaper

1jz is cheaper but will NEVER be a street legal set-up in CA if you plan to daily drive it.

Good luck with the swap :)

Why not? An if I register my truck at my girls house it's a one time smog. So I was gonna get it smogged then do the swap. But I'll start lookin at 2jz's again

I gots no truck, for now
there are area's in california that still dont have smog laws. I know up in julian, ca there is no smog..same with el centro i think. You just have to have a bill sent there. ( i would use my cellphone bill ) and you can register at that address

Ya at my girls house (next county over) you have to smog it one time an after that you don't have to anymore. So I was gonna register it up there then get it smogged then start building a sfbd with a supra engine tranny an IRS

I'll have to figure somethin out with the bags. Maybe notch into the frame an put them as close to the pivot point as possible
