Efi to carb swap

    Any1 ever convert there 22re to carbed?....been think bout it just for the cleaness ov the engine bay and wiring

    If you like fickle old technology that chronically performs subpar to EFI then have at it. Makes zero sense if you want my opinion, which you do, because you asked. I'm sure your ECU will love it too.

    I hear ya....carb is simple and clean that only reason for thinkin of doin it....both my mustangs i went carb....jus wasnt sure how the old toyota efi was..

    You use less fuel and get more power with that fancy new EFI witchery.

    Even on your Mustangs EFI IS BETTER!
    With fuel injection the engine is always receiving the correct fuel & air ratio at any elevation,at any air temperature.
    This does not happen with a carbureted engine,period!
    Today there are more than one company making EFI set ups with a throttle body that looks period correct for a carburetor of early cars & trucks just for that reason, better performance & mileage!
    So you may want to rethink your decision! :cool:
